DREAM Scholarship Amounts
Recipients of the DREAM Scholarship will receive funding equal to 15 hours of tuition plus $500 per semester, through a combination of federal, state, and University funds. MTSU scholarship funds will be used to supplement the Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship and certain other types of aid to equal the above amount. That is, the DREAM Scholarship will work in partnership with the lottery scholarship to cover 15 hours of tuition plus $1000 per year. (Please note that tuition does not include the costs of housing or meals. Students may be able to receive other types of aid to cover these expenses.)

Lottery scholarship amounts vary, depending on what types of awards a student is eligible to receive. Most students will either receive a Hope Scholarship, or a Hope Scholarship plus an Aspire Supplement. (The Aspire Supplement is awarded to students whose parents have an Adjusted Gross Income of $36,000 or less.) While tuition figures and lottery amounts are not determined until mid-July of the award year, the DREAM Scholarship is estimated to be worth $1800 to $3300 for the 2010-2011 academic year.
