 Erene Bell

Erene Bell Why are you running for a position within the Student Government Association?

I decided to run for Senator of the college of Education because I want to be involved in an organization that will not only help me but help others as well. In my previous years I have always had good experiences in leadership roles and I felt the Senator position would be best for me. I understand some people do feel comfortable to speak up, however I am a young lady all about stepping out and help make change for my community on their behalf.

If you were elected to the SGA, what would you do to improve the quality of student life at MTSU?

If I were selected to serve for SGA I would devote my time to work with the students to hear their voiced opinions about things that should be changed or continued in the MTSU community. Also I would team up with other members of SGA to see their opinions and how we could combine our ideas to accommodate every student to have the best student life while here at MTSU.

 Rosalyn Brown

Why are you running for a position within the Student Government Association?

I, Rosalyn Brown, am seeking the position of senator for the College of Education because I have a genuine interest in the students of Middle Tennessee State University and the institution itself. Over my two-year duration here at MTSU, I have truly grown to love this school and I will do all I can to ensure that my fellow peers feel the same. If given the opportunity to serve as a senator for the College of Education in the upcoming school year, I will utilize the leadership skills I have attained through my involvement in numerous on-campus capacities, such as the Student Government Association, to better serve this university and my fellow peers.

If you were elected to the SGA, what would you do to improve the quality of student life at MTSU?

If I were allotted the opportunity to serve in the Student Government Association, I would collaborate with my fellow senators to address the concerns of the students of MTSU in an effort to reassure my peers that they do, in fact, have a voice on this campus. I would also do my best to inform my peers of the actions the Student Government has taken to improve their collegiate experience here at MTSU, which I believe would increase on-campus student involvement and incite even more Blue Raider Pride on campus.

 Keyonna Jones

Keyonna Jones Why are you running for a position within the Student Government Association?

The Senate is the outlet for individuals to let their voices be heard. I am running to become a senator of SGA to work to serve the student body's wants and needs. I've always wanted to be a voice for the people and I take pride in my university. I feel as though this is a great opportunity for me to be a voice for the students and create fun and educational events for the school as a whole.

If you were elected to the SGA, what would you do to improve the quality of student life at MTSU?

When it comes to MTSU, there are so many organizations on campus to get involved with. But majority of the students are not involved on campus or just do not know what to do to get involved. I feel that the organizations should let it be known how to become involved with their organization and what the students should do. This is my second year at MTSU and I was not involved as I would like because I did not know how to. If I were elected to serve for SGA, I would do my best to help students get involved with the school and the many organizations. I would like the students to know that there is more to MTSU than going to class. Even though getting your degree is important student involvement is also just important.

 Brandi Martin

Brandi Martin Why are you running for a position within the Student Government Association?

I am running for a position in the College of Education because I want to make sure the voice of the students, both in and out of my college, is heard. The students are the ones who are most aware of what needs to be improved upon at MTSU and I think it's important that their opinions are heard and that change takes place because of their suggestions.

If you were elected to the SGA, what would you do to improve the quality of student life at MTSU?

If I were selected to serve for SGA, I would make sure to take suggestions from people with all different kinds of concerns. I think it is important that wide ranges of opinions are heard to make MTSU a better environment for all of its students. I am not afraid to stand up for something if I think it will ultimately benefit the student body. I will be diligent in making sure that whatever concerns are brought to me are improved upon as much as possible.
