Welcome to the SGA Court of Traffic Appeals Online. The purpose of our web site is to enhance the services we provide to students of MTSU. We have provided a number of resources here to help you resolve problems, file appeals, obtain COTA decisions, submit comments, and suggest ways to improve our service to the university community. This page is designed to help make the citation appeals process at MTSU as convenient as possible.
The Court of Traffic Appeals is intended only for current MTSU students. Faculty, staff, visitors and former students should NOT appeal tickets on this web site. Any appeals file by anyone other than a current MTSU student will be denied and excluded from the appeals process. Faculty, staff, visitors and former students may appeal tickets on the Parking Services web site (898-2850).
On this site, you may file a student parking ticket appeal or read the court's decision regarding your appeal. The burden of proof rests with the student filing the appeal. Notification of the appeal decisions will occur online (decisions will not be given out over the telephone). It is the responsibility of the student filing the appeal to go online and find out the result of an appeal. The decisions are available approximately one week after the appeal is filed.
For more parking information, visit the Parking Services web site. There you can view information on parking notices, regulations, shuttle information, and campus maps.
COTA Mission
The Court Of Traffic Appeals strives to provide every student at Middle Tennessee State University a forum to present for appeal, citations which they believe were issued erroneously or in a medical emergency. The SGA strives to maintain an efficient, equitable and friendly COTA.
