Centennial Snippets - Student Involvement & Leadership

• This office is better known as CSIL.
  • It originally had the initials CeSIL.
• This department was announced May 14, 2007.
• At its creation it was under the direction of Dr. Colette Taylor, Assistant Vice President and Associate Dean of Students.
  • She reported to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, Dr. Gene Fitch.
• Originally, CSIL was comprised of the following departments:
  • Greek Life
  • Leadership Development
  • Adult Student Services
  • International Programs and Services
  • Multicultural Affairs
  • Student Organizations and Community Service
  • June Anderson Women's Center
• An art contest for students was held to create a mascot for CeSIL.
  • The mascot walked around campus promoting CeSIL.
  • Buttons were made with "Who's CeSIL" on them.
• Dr. Danny Kelley, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, presides over CSIL.
• CSIL is now comprised of five departments:
  • Greek Affairs
  • Leadership and Service
  • Intercultural & Diversity Affairs
  • June Anderson Center for Women & Nontraditional Students
  • Student Government Association
