Connection Point

We all know that your academic studies are the reason you came to MTSU—but did you know that it is also important that every freshman get "connected" to out-of-class activities on our campus? Students who are involved with campus life tend to perform better academically and are more likely to graduate than those that don't. Meeting new people and trying new activities is a sure way to create great memories and to set yourself up for success! The following prescription is meant to get you started on your way to being a part of this True Blue Community.

• At MTSU, we expect every freshman to connect to at least 6 activities during the first 6 weeks of the fall semester.
   
• In addition to attending the University Convocation, choose five other events from the menu on the left.
   
• When arriving to any of these events, look for the Connection Point table to swipe your MTSU ID card so that we will know you attended.
   
• Once you swipe in six times, we'll be confident that you are on your way to finding your own connecting points for the rest of your freshman year.

Remember—involvement with your campus community will make your college experience much more fun and will help make sure that you feel like you belong. These activities will get you started in the right direction.
