How many hours must I earn to graduate?
At least 120 hours with a minimum 2.000 GPA, some majors require more than 120 hours.
When do I file an Intention to Graduate Form and where do I get the form?
Undergraduate – at least two semesters prior to graduation. An intent to graduate form and approved upper division form must be submitted to your graduation coordinator.

Am I required to be at the graduation ceremony?
No, you are not required to participate in the graduation ceremony, but we do encourage
you to do so. If you cannot participate, please complete and submit the absentia form online. If you do not attend graduation, your name will not be read.
Any graduate requiring special facilities at convocation due to a physical disability should call the Registrar's Office at 615-898-5170.
What should I wear to the graduation ceremony?
If you participate in the graduation ceremony, you must wear regalia. Caps and gowns
are available at the Phillips Bookstore at no additional charge. If you are a member of the armed services or are receiving
a commission, you may wear your military uniform in lieu of the academic cap and gown.
When do I get my diploma?
Diplomas can be picked up two weeks after graduation during a one week period. If
you do not pick up your diploma, it will be mailed to the address you listed on your
Intention to Graduate form. If you have changed your address since you completed this
form, you must contact the Registrar's Office at 615-898-5170 and provide your new
address.
All financial obligations to the university (parking tickets, telephone charges, etc.) must be paid before a diploma will be mailed.
