TECTA is the academic gateway to college course work. Beginning with the orientation
class, you may achieve your professional and academic goals by following the TECTA
path of your choosing. The following diagram shows the various paths that you may
take to achieve your goals.

As you select your pathway, you may ask yourself the following questions:
- What are my professional goals?
- Can TECTA help me?
- Do you need training?
- Do you want your CDA?
- Are you interested in earning an AS, Bachelor's or Master's degree?

Funds are provided on a first come/first served basis to all eligible applicants as funds allow.
Academic coursework in Early Childhood Education satisfies DHS training requirements.
Invitation to apply for funds is mailed in July and November to those who have successfully completed an orientation class.
