Alpha Psi Omega

Alpha Psi Omega (APO) is a national honor society dedicated to stimulating interest in theatre. The local chapter is the Lambda Gamma cast, which sponsors theatrical events, supports the academic program, and offers financial assistance for attendance at theatre conferences.


Scholarships for Current Students


( not available to incoming freshmen or transfer students)

Please refer to the BDA Call Board for complete application information.  Applications are typically accepted and reviewed in February of each spring semester for the upcoming academic year.


Robert Aden Memorial Scholarship

Available to current students with a 2.5 GPA or better. Students must major in Speech and Theatre with an emphasis in Theatre and intend to fully develop skills in all aspects of the Theatre arts.


Clayton Hawes Memorial Scholarship

Available to current students with a 3.0 GPA or better. Students must major in Speech and Theatre with an emphasis in Theatre. Scholarships awarded to students in Design and Technology course of study.


Richie Smith Memorial Scholarship

Available to current students with a 2.0 GPA or better. Students must be a Speech and Theatre major with a Theatre emphasis. Students must have a proven record of dedication to MTSU Theatre and must have demonstrated dedication to theatre as a career.


Dorethe Tucker Scholarship

Available to current students with a 3.0 GPA or better. Students must major in Speech and Theatre with an emphasis in Theatre. Scholarships awarded to students in Performance course of study.

 

Gerhard & Esther Hansen Memorial London Winter Scholarship

Established by MTSU Professor, Dr. Richard Hansen, in honor of his parents who were career educators in Ohio, this fund provides scholarships to students majoring in Theatre at MTSU who will enroll in the London Winter Study Abroad Program. Available to current students with a 2.8 GPA or better.
