Richard Hansen joined the MTSU
faculty in 1999. He previously taught at Bradley
University, Northern Kentucky University, and Wright
State University. A life member of the Harold Pinter
Society, he has a special interest in British theatre and
play writing and has taught classes in London. He is also
a member of the Screen Actors Guild and describes himself
as a cinematic fanatic. Hansen received his Ph.D. from
the University of Missouri-Columbia, M.A. from Miami
University (Ohio), and B.A. from Valparaiso University.
An Ohio native, he has performed in over 50 productions.
His 28 years in theatre management include two years of
running cinemas.
