Beverly Gore Norcross is an Assistant Professor
in the Theatre Arts program. She received her B.A. from California
State University, Long Beach in Technical Theatre with a minor in
Dance. Her M.F.A. is from California State University,
Fullerton in Costume Design with a minor in Lighting Design. Ms.
Norcross is a member of the Theatrical and Motion Picture Costumers
unions in Los Angeles. While freelancing in L.A. she was
privileged to work with a wide variety of people including: Dick
Clark, Angela Lansbury, Burt Reynolds, Carol Burnett, CBS, the
companies of
Cats, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Secret Garden,
the L.A. Opera and the Academy Awards. She traveled with the
Evita and
Dreamgirls national tours throughout the United States and
Canada. Ms. Norcross has won a Daytime Emmy certificate, an
American College Theatre award and an Elly award for regional
theatre costume design. Recently, Ms. Norcross revised the
10th edition of Richard Corson's
Stage Makeup text and created a
companion workbook. She will be included in the 2011 edition of
Who's Who In America. Her teaching posts have included:
California State University, Fullerton, Illinois Wesleyan
University, Purdue University, American River College, San
Joaquin Delta College, and Cosumnes River College.
