Stephen D. Wedan has taught at MTSU since Fall, 2006. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Stetson University, where he studied Acting under Marjorie Gilbert and academic theatre subjects under, among others, James Wright. After two years of acting and radio work, he pursued and earned, with the help of a Fellowship and Teaching Assistantship, his Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting at the University of Florida. He studied at UF under David Shelton, Gwen West, James Hooks, and Richard Green. Steve did post-graduation study at the University of Connecticut with faculty members of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts: Pamela Barnard, Rodney Cottier, and Brad Waller of the Washington Shakespeare Company.
Steve has taught at Liberty University, Sweet Briar College, Averett University and now MTSU. Steve has kept working as an actor since moving to the Nashville area in early 2006. Over his career, He's acted in dozens of plays, films and commercials. He also serves in other capacities, including as a respondent for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and the Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts.
