At some point in your life you learned you are True Blue—we want you to tell us your True Blue story and you could win one of 86 prizes!

We encourage participation from students, faculty, staff, alumni, clubs, organizations, groups, families or anyone that is True Blue. Creativity is strongly encouraged!

Contest Rules

All entries must be submitted via email to socialmedia@mtsu.edu

Entries must be in one of three categories: written (story form), still images, or video presentations. Equal consideration will be given to each category.

Entries will be accepted from noon 8/27/2012 until 4:30 PM 9/21/2012

September 3rd through September 21st a winner will be selected each day Monday – Friday at random from the current submissions. Those 15 randomly selected winners will receive a True Blue Pledge T-Shirt and $20 Flexbux.

Additionally two submissions will be selected at random during Week of Welcome 2012 (8/27/2012 – 8/31/2012) and will receive a True Blue Pledge T-Shirt and $20 Flexbux.

September 22, 2012 the judges will select the 64 best entries, which will be entered into 64-competitor tournament.

On September 24, 2012 the selections will be announced and online voting will beginning to determine each match-ups winner. Each round's voting can be found via www.mtsu.edu/trueblue

Everyone selected to compete in the tournament will get a prize. The 'losers' in each round will receive the listed prize; the winners will advance with an opportunity to get the prize at the next level.

Tournament Timeline

• September 24/25 – Round of 64 voting
• September 26/27 – Round of 32 voting
• September 28/29 – Round of 16 voting
• September 30/October 1 – Quarterfinals voting
• October 2/3 - Semi-finals voting
• October 4/5– Finals voting
• October 6 (Homecoming) – Winner announced

Eligibility and Limitations

Anyone can enter. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Void where prohibited. Odds of winning depend upon the number of participants.

Only one (1) prize per person during the length of the Contest. Employees of the MTSU Marketing and Communications Department and the Contest's participating sponsors and members of the immediate family of any such persons are not eligible to participate and win.

Release

By participating in the Contest, each participant and winner waives any and all claims of liability against the University, its employees and agents, the Contest's sponsors and their respective employees and agents, for any personal injury or loss which may occur from the conduct of, or participation in, the Contest, or from the use of any prize.

Taxes

Any valuation of the prize(s) is based on available information provided to the University, and the value of any prize awarded to a winner may be reported for tax purposes as required by law. Each winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes related to the prize(s) and paying any expenses associated with any prize which are not specifically provided for in the official rules.

Conduct and Decisions

By participating in the Contest, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of University personnel. Persons who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified. Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited. The University will interpret these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities concerning the rules or the Contest and the University's decisions concerning such disputes shall be final. If the conduct or outcome of the Contest is affected by human error, any mechanical malfunctions or failures of any kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control of the University, the University reserves the right to terminate this Contest, or make such other decisions regarding the outcome as the University deems appropriate. All decisions will be made by the University and are final. The University may waive any of these rules in its sole discretion.
