Institute Resources

Resources are posted for the upcoming institute. Click here to view them and download/print handouts before you arrive. Please note:  you may want to bring a copy or bring an electronic device to access the presentation during your sessions.

WiFi

You may access wifi in most campus buildings. To access wifi, open your web browser and go to mtsu.edu. Fill out the form and register as a guest. You must re-do the form every 24 hours.

Directions

Directions from I-24

• Merge onto S Church St/US-231 N/TN-10 N via EXIT 81 toward Murfreesboro
• Turn right onto S Rutherford Blvd.
• Turn left onto MTSU Blvd (at the brick entrance at the light.)
• Pass straight through 1 roundabout.
• Turn right at the first right after the round about and park in the large parking lot.

Parking

Participants should park in the Student Union or Cummings Lots. As long as you park in a regular, marked space in these lots your vehicle will not be ticketed for "No Campus Permit". Please do not park in housing or reserved spaces or on curbs. Click here to see a campus map. These lots are located at D3 on the map. If these lots are full or if you would like to utilize MTSU's shuttle service, you may park in the Rutherford Lots and ride the Raider Express red route.

Please note Champion Way will be closed this summer due to construction projects. Please access campus via Blue Raider Drive from Greenland Drive or MTSU Blvd from Rutherford Blvd. Click here to see a campus map with road closures.

No parking passes will be needed this year.

Institute Check-in and Reminders

We encourage you to preregister for ALL sessions you plan to attend. Attendance will be taken at each session, each day. To get full credit, please look for conference assistants in bright yellow shirts at each session you attend. Prior to attending any sessions, please first pick up your conference name tag at the following locations:

Sunday

• If you have a session Monday morning, you may pick up your name tag and materials on Sunday, 2-4:30 p.m. at BAS, SunTrust Room. See D4 on the campus map.

Monday

• CTE Directors attending the three day common core session should pick up name tags at JUB. See B4 on the campus map.

• Session #2027 Common Core State Standards Training for CTE Teachers (Three Day Session) and New Teacher Training for Occupational Licensed Teacher (Five Day Session) will pick up name tags at CKNB. See C3 on the campus map.

• All other participants with sessions on Monday will pick up name tags at BAS, SunTrust Room. See D4 on the campus map.

Tuesday

• We will NOT be using Murphy Center for the Institute for CTE Educators this year. Vendors and BBQ will be held at the Student Union Building (STU). This is a new building, please see E4 on the campus map.

• Opening session will be held 9:00-10:00 a.m. in Tucker Theater. Please look for BDA on C3 on the on the campus map. Please note, to attend the Conference Opening Session on Tuesday, you do NOT have to pick up your name tag first.

• STEM New Teacher Training will pick up their name tags at a TBA location.

• All others will pick up their name tags at the Student Union Building (STU). This is a new building, please see E4 on the campus map.

• TACTE Awards and Business Meeting will be held 3:35-4:45 p.m. in LRC, Room 221. See C4 on the campus map.

Wednesday

• Pick up name tags BEFORE lunch on Wednesday at the Student Union Building (STU). This is a new building, please see E4 on the campus map.

• AFTER 1:00 p.m. please pick name tags at the BAS, SunTrust Room. See D4 on the campus map.

Thursday and Friday

• Pick up name tags at BAS, SunTrust Room. See D4 on the campus map.
