• Pursuing PhD: Communication Studies – University of Southern Mississippi

• B.A.: Philosophy/Religion – Louisiana College

Experience:

• Academic Advisor, College of Continuing Education and Distance Learning – MTSU; advise students earning prior learning credit through the Adult Degree Completion Program.
• Adjunct Instructor, Department of Speech and Theatre – MTSU; Teaching hybrid and on-ground classes.
• Graduate Consultant, USM Speaking Center; engaged in peer tutoring, academic assessing and workshop hosting to develop oral communication skills on campus.

Areas of Interest outside of campus:  My husband and I have two young children, so our days are filled with playgrounds, toys, and frequent trips to McDonalds! Since my husband is the coach of the MTSU Blue Raider Debate team, we also spend many weekends traveling with the team to state and national tournaments.

What I like about MTSU and its students:
MTSU students, faculty and staff are friendly and engaging. I enjoy learning from the experiences of the students I work with.

What you can expect from me:
I am down-to-earth and ready to help. I believe higher education is a noble and pragmatic pursuit and will do everything I can to help others achieve their academic goals.
