MTSU offers several degrees in the evening for students who cannot access the campus during the day. Evening classes begin after 4:30 p.m. Evening courses follow the regular academic calendar and tuition and fees schedule. University admissions procedures must be followed before registering for these and other distance learning courses. An admissions application ( undergraduate or graduate) may be completed online and, upon admittance to the university, students may register for courses online via Pipeline.
While the construction is taking place at the center of campus there will be new Raider
Xpress bus routes. The route adjustments are shown here.
The Evening School Office serves students who enroll in evening classes by extending several of MTSU's student services, including parking permits and student IDs.
Parking Permits - Green student parking permits may be obtained at the Evening School Office after all registration fees have been paid. Students should remember to bring photo identification and license plate number when obtaining a parking permit. At the beginning of each fall semester new parking permits are issued for the academic year. Students attending only in the summer semester must pay a parking fee to receive a parking pass for summer semester. Student and faculty/staff passes are available through the main Parking and Transportation Services Office located on Main Street. The Evening School Office supplies green parking passes only.
If an evening student losses a parking permit, he or she may complete a Parking Permit Loss Report and pay a $25 replacement fee at the Parking Services Office.
MTSU Blue ID Card - A personal MTSU ID card is required to check out books at the library, for admission to the Campus Recreation Center and campus computer labs. ID cards are made in the main ID office, located in James Union Building room 306, typically open 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. ID cards may also be made in the Evening School Office, located in Kirksey Old Main room 126, during extended hours through the week and on Saturdays.
Your first ID is free. There is a ten dollar charge for the replacement of lost cards which can be paid by cash or check.
