Task Force


The undergraduate research initiative began with the appointment of a task force.

The RESEARCH task force was to develop and oversee the process whereby proposals are prepared by the students in consultation with a faculty member which is then subjected to a formal review process.

Research Members

  • Fine-tune the application process
  • Research the details regarding grant accounting issues
  • Refine procedures for proposal evaluation and grant awards
  • Review submitted proposals and recommend awards
  • Plan/arrange/conduct workshops on "effective student mentoring";
  • Plan and coordinate annual campus-wide "Scholarly Celebration";
  • Plan and conduct an annual Research Awards Banquet
  • Assist preparation of NSF/NEH/NEA proposals to institutionalize UG research
