Jenny Rowan received her B.A. from MTSU in 2004
with a major in English and a minor in Women's Studies and
her M.A. in English from MTSU in 2010 after completing her thesis
entitled "Fatal Weapons: Letters in Selected Texts by Edith
Wharton."; Current research topics of interest include
Feminist Theory, Composition and Rhetoric, Postmodern Literature
and Theory, 20th and 21st Century writers, Science Fiction, and
women writers from around the globe. After a year and a half in the
University Writing Center as a writing assistant and a year in the
classroom as a graduate teaching assistant, Jenny is currently
serving as the interim assistant coordinator for the University
Writing Center and the English Graduate Teaching Assistants and is
teaching English 1010: Expository Writing and English 1020:
Research and Argumentative Writing. In her spare time, she enjoys
reading (especially Margaret Atwood), watching science fiction
movies and TV shows, spending time outdoors hiking and enjoying
nature, and hanging out with her two dogs, Joseph Francis and
Dante.
