Travel to Murfreesboro:

• By air: Nashville has the closest commercial airport.
• By car: Murfreesboro is on Interstate 24, approximately 30 miles southeast of Nashville and 90 miles northwest of Chattanooga.

Currently, all room rates are subject to a 9.75% state sales tax and a 5% hotel occupancy tax.

Individual guests will call hotel direct for reservations. In order to ensure proper accommodations, all individual reservations must be made by March 3, 2013.

Airport Shuttle Service:

Attendees are responsible for making their own transportation arrangements from and to the airport. Below are some shuttle services that provide transportation from the airport to locations in Murfreesboro:

  Conference rates: $40 one-way for first person ($10 for each additional person in the same party )

  When booking, please specify how many are in your party and that you are attending the MTSU Women's and Gender Studies Conference. Reservations should be made at least 3 days in advance for conference rates.

Parking:

You will need a permit to park on campus. Check the box on your registration form, and we will send a permit and campus map to you. A few spaces behind the conference location in the Tom H. Jackson Building will be reserved for conference participants; however, most will need to park at the Tennessee Livestock Center lot, reached via Greenland Drive. From there you may ride the Raider Xpress shuttle (free) or walk (about 15 minutes) to the Tom H. Jackson building (JACK on the campus map).
