  • Program is flexible and tailored to the individual. Advanced actuarial exam preparation courses are optional.
  • Student may choose to prepare for Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) testing.
  • Major in Mathematics, Concentration in Actuarial Science.
  • Curriculum requirements:
    • Major: 48 hours in the department.
      • Mathematics core: 21 hours.
        • ACSI 2020, 2030, 3020, 3030, 4200
        • MATH 2050, STAT 3150
      • Actuarial Science courses: 15 hours.
        • ACSI 4140, 4220, 4630, 4640
        • 1 courses from ACSI 4230, 4240, 4330, 4340.
      • Elective courses: 12 hours.
        • STAT 4190, 4320.
        • 2 mathematics courses as approved by advisor.
    • Minor in the College of Business. Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, Management, or Marketing are good choices.
    • ACTG 2110, 2120, ECON 2410, 2420, and at least 1 course from FIN 3610, 3660, 3710.
    • CSCI 1170 and another Computer Science or Information Systems course.
