About the Juror
Dave Hickey, nationally acclaimed, Las Vegas-based critic and curator, was the recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship, aka the "Genius Grant", in 2001. He is a major figure among art and cultural critics in the U.S.; served as the Executive Editor of "Art in America"; was the owner/director of the gallery "A Clean and Well-Lighted Place" in Austin, Texas, and served as Director of the Reese Palley Gallery in New York. Additionally, he has written for "Rolling Stone", "Art News", "Art Forum", "Harper's", and "Vanity Fair".
