Some Links that Might be Useful or Interesting

THE VICTORIAN WEB

Has information about all the authors we will be reading, the historical period, the different political and social movements, etc. An excellent resource for undergraduates..

Pre-Raphaelite Art

Maintained by an enthusiast, this has a wide selection of pictures.

Victorian Art

Clearly organized collection, includes more than just Pre-Raphaelites.

Money comparisons

This site tries to answer the question "How much would that be today?"
It is useful to get an idea of what the amounts of money mentioned in the novels mean today.  (However, be aware that purchasing power varies from commodity to commodity.  For example, cloth was more costly in the Victorian period than today, but
labor was cheaper.)
