BOETHIUS CONFERENCE: CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The Franciscan University of Steubenville Graduate Philosophy Program will sponsor the Second Annual Conference on Christian Philosophy on April 13-14, 2007. This year's topic is Boethius, and the keynote speakers will include John McGee (Toronto) and Peter King (Toronto).

FORTHCOMING SPECIAL ISSUE OF CARMINA PHILOSOPHIAE
The International Boethius Society and the Conference on Boethius at the Franciscan University of Steubenville have entered into an agreement to publish selected papers from the conference in a Special Issue of Carmina Philosophiae, which will be the 2007 issue. The volume will be edited by Noel Harold Kaylor, Jr. and Philip Edward Phillips, with Mark Roberts serving as a special guest editor. The International Boethius Society will sponsor one session, “Boethius in the Middle Ages,” at the 42 nd International Congress on Medieval Studies (May 10-13, 2007) in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Organized by Philip Edward Phillips (Middle Tennessee State University), the session will feature three presentations:
“Letters for Consolation: Prefatory Epistles in the Manuscripts of William of Wheteley's Commentary on Boethius,” Graham N. Drake (SUNY Geneseo)
“Boethian Philosophy and Chaucer's The Knight's Tale,” Alison Klawiter (University of Minnesota, Duluth)
“‘Starry, Starry Night': The Stars as Seen by Boethius, Chaucer, and Dante,” Noel Harold Kaylor, Jr. (Troy University ) and Zachary Couch (Troy University )
