The department of MTSU Student Programming is comprised of seven different student run committees:
Concerts
Ideas & Issues
Films
Variety
Fine Arts
Gameday Activities
Promotion
The
students involved with MTSU Student Programming choose
what programs and major events are brought to campus. There are no dues or fees to be involved with MTSU Student Programming. The only requirements are being a student in good standing with the University and simple interest in bringing entertainment to the campus of MTSU.
While
the committees include a wide variety of interested students,
they are led by an elected group of student chairpersons known
as the Program Council. Each semester we hold elections to
give 7 individuals a chance to govern their respected committees
and work closely with acts or events to provide MTSU with
the best possible programming available. MTSU students can
hold one of the seven committee chair positions or become elected
the Program Council Chair, who has the privilege to work with
each group as a supervisor.
We
understand that collegiate
education outside of the classroom is essential to the well rounded college student. We know that providing
students with individual opportunities to learn and grow experientially
complements the great education that students at MTSU receive resulting in well rounded and successful graduates. We believe that all programs and experiences we offer are structured to help
students make the most of their education at Middle Tennessee
State University.
