involved in your residential community through the following:
Area
Government
Area Government serves as a voice for students in the residence
hall community. Your area government serves as a link between the
residential life staff and the residents living in your building.
By being involved in your area government, you can be a part of
creating and changing policies, building leadership skills, planning
programs for the area, attending student conferences, and being
part of other campus-wide activities and events.
Residence
Life Cinema

This program shows movies on channel 19 of the cable system serving
all of the on-campus housing units. Representatives of Area Governments
select some of the movies each month. Others are chosen in conjunction
with professors who want certain films shown to meet the needs of
their classes. Faculty in the film studies minor are advisors.
Judicial
Board
The Housing and Residential Life Judicial Board is a peer review
board composed of residence hall students. Residents who have allegedly
violated a Housing and Residential Life policy may choose to have
their alleged violation heard by the Judicial Board. The goals of
the Judicial Board are to redirect negative behavior of students
into acceptable behaviors, serve as educators to peers, and protect
the rights of all students within the residence hall system. Students
who serve on the Judicial Board gain invaluable experience as educators
and leaders.
