Office of Communication ResearchThe mission of the Office of Communication Research is to stimulate faculty and student research that will benefit the international academic community, the students of Middle Tennessee State University, and the citizens of Tennessee. The primary vehicle for realizing this purpose is the MTSU Poll, a twice-yearly statewide tracking poll of Tennesseans’ opinions regarding prominent political, social, and ethical issues. The poll, conducted each semester since Fall 1996, is directed by faculty associated with the Office of Communication Research. Students conduct telephone interview and use poll results as an integral part of their training in select mass communication classes. Results of each semester's poll are available online at: http://www.mtsusurveygroup.org. |
