The introductory psychology course is PSY1410: General Psychology. This course is offered numerous times every spring, summer, and fall semester. Honors sections are offered in the fall and spring semesters. This course is required of all psychology majors. This course also can be used to satisfy the Social and Behavioral Sciences General Education requirement. The course description is as follows:

1410 General Psychology. Three credits.

Introductory survey course. Includes biological foundations, perception, principles of learning, intelligence, motivation, emotion, human development, personality, social psychology, behavior disorders, and psychotherapy.
