Digital Audio Lab
The digital audio lab provides an opportunity for students
to learn the principles of digital audio and the skills needed to operate a digital audio workstation. Courses provide students the knowledge and techniques needed for today's music and post production.
There are nine identical stations for the teacher and students. There are four additional stations loaded with Finale that are used for advanced musicianship.
Teacher and Student Stations
Hardware - Dual 1.8 GHz Macintosh G5 with dual monitors. Digidesign 002 rack interface. Novation Remote 37SL keyboard controllers.
Software - Digidesign Pro Tools LE, Sound Replacer, Waves Gold Bundle, Antares Auto-tune, McDSP Classic Pack, and Roxio Toast.
Other Available Facilities
Microphones - AKG C460, Sennheiser MD421,
Marshall MXL-2001. An isolation booth is provided for recording.
