Amy Macy, assistant professor, received both her undergraduate degree in music education and her Master‚s degree in business administration from Belmont University. She has worked for many labels including MTM, MCA, Sparrow Records, and the RCA label group. Amy worked to create strategic market plans for launching new releases into the marketplace while maintaining a sales and marketing focus at the retail level. Her latest responsibility has been with national sales for RCA. Clients included KMART, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Musicland, to name a few. She currently serves as the music business internship coordinator.

Amy's love of music extends beyond thebusiness world. She initially moved to Nashville to be a musician and has toured professionally with several artists worldwide. She is a vocalist and is accomplished on guitar, fiddle, and banjo. Recently Amy performed in musicals at Nashville‚s famous Ryman Auditorium.
