Loren Mulraine, assistant professor, received
his B.A. from the University
of Maryland in radio, television, and film and his law degree
from Howard University School of Law where he served as lead articles
editor of the Howard Law Journal. Prior to joining the MTSU faculty,
Loren worked as a government contracts attorney in Washington,
D.C., and as an entertainment attorney in Nashville. His legal
clients have included CeCe Winans, Commissioned, Angelo &
Veronica, Out of Eden, Bobby Jones, songwriter Hallerin Hill (Whitney
Houston, Take Six, etc.), and others. He is a monthly columnist
for Gospel Industry Today magazine.
When not occupied by scholarly activities or entertainment clients,
Loren is kept busy with his firm, TMG, which includes his record
company, TRIUMPH Music Group, and his artist management and consulting
company, The Mulraine Group. He has released two solo recordings,
Ill Meet You There (11/93) and In His Shadow (12/99), and
has worked on musical projects with members of Take Six, Andrae
Crouch (Grammy Award-winning Tribute: The Songs of Andrae Crouch),
and others. He is a member of the National Academy of Recording
Arts and Sciences, the Gospel Music Asso- ciation, the American
Bar Association, the National Bar Association, and the Black Entertainment
and Sports Lawyers Association.
