Audio Engineering Society (AES)
 The MTSU AES Section is a student chapter of the Audio Engineering Society, an international organization headquartered in New York, NY. Led by a volunteer team of student officers and RIM faculty advisors, the section is dedicated to stimulating interest in audio engineering, promoting high standards of professional practice and encouraging the exchange of knowledge and experience among its student members, regional professionals and local audio enthusiasts. All local AES meetings are open to the public and—unless otherwise noted—free. Students can join the AES for an annual membership of $25 and receive benefits including professional accreditation, the Journal of the Audio Engineering Society and significant discounts to national AES conventions.
In addition to sponsoring guest lectures, technical demonstrations, regional field-trips and social events, the MTSU AES section also maintains a catalog of analog tape supplies and digital recording media at discounted prices for RIM Production and Technology students.

Association of Recording Management Students, and Grammy University Network
 About ARMS
The Association of Recording Management Students is an organization open to Recording Industry majors (both Business and P&T emphases) as well as other interested students dedicated to networking and gaining experience within the entertainment industry. ARMS volunteers at industry functions including the Country Radio Seminar and the Americana Folk Festival, just to name a few. Other events may include seminars, workshops, label tours, campus and off-campus concerts, guest speakers, and mixers.
About GRAMMY U
GRAMMY University Network is designed to enhance students' current academic curriculum with exclusive access to recording industry professionals such as major recording artists, producers and songwriters, to give an "out of classroom" perspective to the recording industry. Members receive access to exclusive Recording Academy events including SoundChecks, Pitch-A-Thons, In The Mix events, the GRAMMY Awards Viewing Party, and the annual Nashville GRAMMY Block Party.
ARMS/GRAMMY U
Together, these two organizations offer a unique opportunity for students to gain first-hand experience within the industry before they even graduate. Students can join ARMS/GRAMMY U for an annual membership fee of $25.

The Digital Millennim Copyright Society
 We are an organic organization dedicated to exploring new concepts and practices in the music and entertainment industries while fostering discussion and debate about the current issues in the digital millennium. The organization has regular meetings and brings in speakers from the entertainment community.
DMCS also publishes a mailing list consisting of news links, blogs, and commentary about these and other issues in entertainment, digital media, and intellectual property.

The Nashville Songwriters Association International
 The Nashville Songwriters Association International is a not-for-profit trade association devoted to the service of songwriters. Established in 1967 by professional songwriters in Nashville, NSAI now numbers more than 4000 members worldwide.
NSAI exists to provide information and guidance on the songwriting process: to provide opportunities for aspiring songwriters to learn from music industry professionals; and to lobby for songwriter rights in Washington, D.C.
MTSU has the only college chapter of NSAI. The student chapter holds workshops, sponsors writers nights, student band nights, and provides a forum to hear and critique one another's material. The Nashville songwriting community is very supportive of our chapter and consequently we have some of the industry's finest songwriters involved in mentoring relationships with student songwriters.

Omega Delta Psi
 Omega Delta Psi is the first recording industry professional
fraternity in the world. It was established on August 6, 2006 and currently has approximately 50 members in all three concentrations. Omega Delta Psi gives students the opportunity to network with each other and with industry professionals while providing experiential opportunities.
Omega Delta Psi members have participated in numerous
events on and off campus. These events give members real world experience while guiding them through the academic process at MTSU. Throughout the semester, we also provide members with mentor groups to help with academics and industry goals as well as required studio hours to help all of our members understand the many facets of this industry. In addition, Omega Delta Psi sponsors a scholarship for the
department of recording industry and works with Save the Music as an official philanthropy.
Omega Delta Psi holds membership recruitment within the first two weeks of each fall and spring semester. New members are chosen by thecurrent Omega Delta Psi membership through a voting process. Dues for the organization are $150 per a semester, and go toward our office and events at the Walnut House recording studio, computer and technical equipment, mentor group meetings, shirts, recruitment events, shows, projects such as our current grant project, and social events.

Society for Electronic Music (SEM)
 The Society for Electronic Music is a student organization for those interested
in being involved with the promotion and creation of electronic music. Open for any MTSU student to join, members typically include aspiring producers, composers, DJs, or anyone interested in technologies for creating music (MIDI, synthesis, etc.)
Members of SEM enjoy organizing events that promote professional artists and current technologies that are free to the public. Examples of past events are Remixing in Pro Tools, Using Abelton Live, An Industry Listening Panel, and the Business of Electronic Muisc.
SEM members attend international conferences such as the annual Winter Music Conference in Miami, Florida. And SEM has recieved grants to create compilation CD's of all original electronic music created by it's members.
