Robert S. Wood , departmental coordinator of
audio technology and
professor of recording industry, received his Bachelor of Music
degree from
Oklahoma Baptist University and M.M. and D.M.A. degrees from the
University of North Texas. He taught at Oklahoma Baptist University
for 14 years, serving as chairman of the keyboard department and
developing programs in music synthesis and television production.
Dr. Wood's teaching specialty is MIDI/music synthesis and its
applications in the recording studio. Dr. Wood's freelance arranging
and producing work includes jingles, tape tracks, albums and a
complete music package for a cable television network. In 1983
he was the recipient of a special award from the Kennedy Center
for the Performing Arts for an original musical score for "
J.B. " He is listed in Who's Who in Entertainment and Who's
Who in the South and Southwest and is a member of the Audio Engineering
Society, NAMM Affiliated Music Business Institutions, Phi Mu Alpha
Sinfonia and the Pi Kappa Lambda honor society.
