Headed by the Vice Provost for Research and Sponsored Programs and the Dean, College of Graduate Studies, the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs serves faculty involved in research, innovation, scholarship, creativity, and public service in all MTSU colleges and in a variety of multidisciplinary centers, institutes and programs. The Office provides support to secure funding, comply with regulations, partner with industry, establish collaborations across the university and raise the profile scholarship at MTSU.

The Director oversees the two major functions of the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs (ORSP) - Pre-award and post-award activities. The Director is responsible for the development and implementation of campus-wide policies and procedures for externally-funded grants and contracts. She also identifies and nurtures collaborative groups of researchers seeking external funding.
