Obtaining Support for Travel

There are many sources of travel support on campus. Each department has a limited travel budget, usually distributed by the Chair. College Deans have discretionary funds as well. Several committees accept proposals for travel:

Faculty Research and Creative Projects Committee:
Supports travel to collect data

Faculty Development Grants:
Supports professional development of faculty.

Graduate Faculty Travel Awards:
Supports travel of graduate faculty to present abstracts at regional, national, and international meetings and conferences.

Graduate Student Travel Awards:
Supports travel of graduate students enrolled at MTSU to present abstracts at regional, national, and international meetings and conferences.
