The list below represents my personal browsing of MTSU's on-shelf
resources as of June 1997. The list is not inclusive, but is targeted to
my courses. Only a few industry specific and international references are
given. Specific industry related economics literature is readily
available too--e.g., for textiles, see Clothing and Textile Research
Journal, Textile Research Journal, or Textile World. Other examples
abound in communications, agriculture, etc....
A "Q" indicates an intensely quantitative journal and is not
required for my courses unless a specific article is assigned. A "*"
indicates journals of particular applicability for my Employee Benefits,
Labor and Human Resource Economics, Industrial Relations, Unions and
Collective Bargaining, or Labor Legislation courses. An "M" means
magazine worth reading but not core scholarship. Those with no
designation are of general applicability for my Managerial Economics
courses.
I do not consider papers or research documents complete
without reflecting a sound effort to examine journal literature. Proper
citations are required on all references in papers and electronic
