About STORM

• Mission Statement
  - So much research in software testing is taking place, and so many people are interested in this research, that the dissemination of research results has become a problem. The MTSU computer science department has created STORM to address this problem. A nexus of Software Testing Online Resources at MTSU, this site on the World Wide Web is designed to be a "first-stop" for software testing researchers and practitioners. STORM is patterned loosely after a research library. The STORM site hosts two lists of members of the software testing community: a Who's Who in Software Testing Research and a Directory of Software Testers and Consultants. These lists are searchable and unique to the STORM site. The STORM site also provides computer searchable databases of software testing citations and bibliographies. STORM has links to software testing monographs, online articles, dissertations and theses, as well as links to companies and organizations involved in some way with software testing and software quality assurance. A general reference section contains links to other sites that provide such services as online dictionaries and thesauri. Other links provide access to other sites containing information on software testing and closely related subjects (such as software metrics, formal technical reviews, debugging, program analysis, and software reliability).

• Call for Participation
  - The STORM site is run by volunteers. Work on the site, especially processing e-mail, is strongly influenced by MTSU's academic calendar. Outside help is solicited and welcome. In particular, "scout" reports of new or unindexed links to software testing information are valuable, as are contributions to our bibliography collection.
