The "k" sections of University 1010 are designed to help students
achieve a level of academic competence that will enable them to work successfully
in college-level courses. The on-line courses are designed to meet this goal.
However, on-line courses are not suited for all types of learners.
Students that are successful with distance learning tend to be self motivating,
prefer independence, are able to follow written directions, and have the time
to study for the class.
In order to take the on-line course you will need permission from the instructor.
To help determine if you are a candidate for on-line learning you will need
to take a short self-report questionnaire. This survey will help the instructor
and student determine suitability for on-line instruction. If you would like
to be considered for this class, click on the "Agree" button and
take the survey.
After completing the survey, eligible students should then contact the Academic
Advising Center for a course permit. After the student
has permission to take the class, it is the students responsibility to properly
register for the course. Eligibility for the class does not guarantee that
the class will be open when the student attempts to register.
