Discuss the various career goals you have had throughout your life, how they changed at different times, the different jobs you have had, and what has brought you to where you are now.

Discuss how your choice of an undergraduate major has affected you and what you would change, if anything.

Have students discuss in small groups how they came to the decision about their major. Discuss the pressures of being undeclared.

Assignments and Follow-up

Complete steps 1-4 the Career Exploration and write a summary of each step.

Find 3 sites on the internet about your major and three separate sites about jobs in your field.

Write a biography of your career choices. At different stages in your life, have you wanted to be anything else?
