Time Management Tips
1. When you get an assignment, mail, a handout, a phone message, etc. act on it immediately, then forget it.
2. Make every minute count. Plan how you will use your time. Keep a schedule and eliminate the dead hours.
3. Keep a list of things to do with deadlines. Make sure you prioritize. Cross off each item as you finish, and reward yourself.
4. When planning how long a project, research paper, or major assignment will take, double the time you think it will take and start early. Set goals that will be difficult to meet and work toward them.
5. People who say they work better under pressure are usually rationalizing for their procrastination. Try to get work/studying done before the day its due.
6. When you make out your schedule, dont be too specific or account for every minute, it will lead to too much frustration. A flexible schedule is a guide to help you .
7. Remember to schedule time for friends, fun, and relaxation. If you stick to your schedule, youll have time for school and fun. Dont mix them. Theres no worse waste of time than studying and wishing you were with friends or being with friends and feeling guilty about the work you should be doing.
8. We all have times of the day that are better than others. Get to know when youre at your most productive and use it to your advantage.
