The officer must be an expert in tactics, techniques and procedures for the employment of fire support systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job Duties<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-style-compact-list wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead field artillery troops and combined armed forces during land combat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate the employment of field artillery Soldiers at all levels of command<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional positions include the role of fire support officer, fire direction officer, platoon leader and battery executive officer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Training<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Job training for a field artillery officer requires completion of Basic Officer Leaders Course I &amp; II and the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course.
