The Department of Art and Design offers a variety of student work opportunities that directly relate to our field, giving students hands on experience that will help prepare them for the job market. Our students develop partnerships within the surrounding businesses and art communities through internships and our department’s active outreach agenda. Students benefit from multiple venues in which they can showcase their work, including dedicated student galleries and online portfolios. Additionally, we host professional artists in our outstanding Todd Art Gallery. Our unique affiliation with the MTSU Music and MTSU Theater and Dance Departments to form MTSU Arts enables students to enjoy interdisciplinary learning opportunities through projects such as set building and design.
