Business & Finance Staff Council
The Business and Finance Staff Council at Middle Tennessee State University has been formed to advise the Vice President and to serve as a liaison between staff and administrative officers.
We welcome the opportunity to work with any employee, faculty member, or campus visitor that has an idea, suggestion, or concern that may improve our campus.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Business and Finance Staff Council is to improve communication between employees and administration concerning policies and practices and to provide an avenue for employees to express concerns and/or make suggestions for changes or improvements in the areas in which they work.
Who are we?
The Business and Finance Staff Council is an elected group of employees who work in the Business and Finance Division. The council is composed of seven (7) individuals from three (3) groups:
- Administrative / Professional (2)
- Secretarial / Clerical / Technical (2)
- Craft / Service / Maintenance / Custodial (3)
What do we do?
The council meets every other month to discuss matters involving employees, review policies and procedures, and to develop and make formal recommendations for new policies or changes in existing policies pertaining to employees for Business and Finance. We strive to improve communication between employees and administration concerning policies and practicies and to provide an avenue for employees to express concerns and/or make suggestions for changes or imporvements in the areas in which they work.
