MLK Vigil (January 19)- Members of the MTSU community will gather for the MLK Vigil to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s life and legacy. The theme for this year’s celebration is “A Century of Black Life, History, and Culture.” |

Fraternity & Sorority Life Open House (February 3)- Meet members of the Interfraternity Council (IFC), National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), and the Panhellenic Council (PHC) while enjoying free food (hot chocolate bar, popcorn, and other food items). You will also have an opportunity to send an uplifting postcard to a sick child. Stop by the event for a few minutes or stay the entire time. |

Women's History Month Keynote Speaker: Lisa Lang (March 25)- Lisa Ling’s early career included a stint as one of the co-hosts of the ABC talk show, The View, and more recently has served as a reporter for CNN. With CNN, she hosted National Geographic Explorer and Our America with Lisa Ling. She currently host This Is Life with Lisa Ling. Ling has also covered the drug war in Columbia and has investigated the culture of US prisons. Lisa has also served as a special correspondent for The Oprah Winfrey Show, which she appeared on several times. |

Dinner and a Movie (Friday, August 21)- Come one, Come all! There will be free dinner for students and their families. Once the sun goes down and it is dark enough outside, we will then start our movie, Back to the Future. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and come enjoy the movie under the stars. |
