Freeman, Sr. &#8211; Vice Chairman of MTSU&#8217;s Board of Trustees and Executive Chairman of Zycron Industries.&nbsp; The 2019 session also featured concurrent\/break-out sessions with speakers from MTSU&#8217;s Police Department; Academic Affairs Division; Finance and Administration Department; Disability Access Center; Child Care Lab; and from the Institutional Equity and Compliance expandable-content-lightblock\" aria-labelledby=\"headingcompliance-in-blue-discussions-on-compliance-topics-in-higher-education-2018\" data-bs-parent=\"#newExpandable\"><div class=\"accordion-body\">\n<p>In recognition of National Compliance and Ethics week, which is typically the first full week of November, the Office of Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management (CAERM) hosts Compliance and Ethics events for MTSU faculty and staff.&nbsp; The first such event entitled,&nbsp;<em>Compliance in Blue: Discussions on Compliance Topics in Higher Education,<\/em>&nbsp;took place on November 6, 2018. The 2018&nbsp;<em>Compliance in Blue<\/em>&nbsp;event was held in the Student Union&#8217;s&nbsp;Parliamentary Room with a General Session that featured interviews with the University&#8217;s Provost and General Counsel, as well as with the Chair of the Audit and Compliance Committee of MTSU&#8217;s Board of Trustees, Ms. Christine Karbowiak, who serves as the Chief Risk Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, and Executive Vice President of Bridgestone Americas, Inc.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following are pictures from the 2018&nbsp;<em>Compliance in Blue&nbsp;<\/em>event in
