Facility Staff are responsible for providing patrons with quality customer service
while supplying information, controlling access, checking out equipment, and monitoring
the fitness areas. Facility staff maintain a safe environment by actively supervising
activities and enforcing facility policies. Staff are trained to respond to emergencies
according to the outlined Emergency Action Plans. Facility staff are also expected
to maintain a clean facility by completing light cleaning/ maintenance, performing
laundry duties, and completing other chores as assigned by the graduate assistant
or student supervisor on duty. CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are required for
all Facility Staff. Free certification classes will be taught to all new hires who
are not currently certified, and employees are expected to maintain a current certification
throughout their employment.
