Exercise is Medicine® - On Campus

Spring 2023 Wellness Fair: April 18th 11am-3pm

We will be hosting our first Wellness Fair on Tuesday, April 18th from 11:00am-3:00pm at the Student Union Commons! 
The purpose of this event is to connect students to well-established and credible resources both on and off campus that truly focus on the holistic wellness of individuals. We will have over 20 tables with education on how to improve and maintain your wellness, information about what each vendor can offer, and free giveaways! Some of the MTSU Departments/Offices and local entities that will be in attendance:

  • MTSU Counseling Service
  • MTSU Campus Recreation
  • MTSU Health Services & Promotions
  • MTSU June Anderson Center
  • MTSU Raider Health Corp
  • Tennessee Titans
  • Murfreesboro Parks & Rec
  • and many more!

Exercise is Medicine® On Campus (EIM-OC) calls upon universities and colleges to promote physical activity as a vital sign of health. EIM-OC encourages faculty, staff and students to work together toward improving the health and well-being of the campus community by:
  • Making movement a part of the daily campus culture
  • Assessing physical activity at every student health visit
  • Providing students with the tools necessary to strengthen healthy physical activity habits that can last a lifetime
  • Connecting university health care providers with university health fitness specialists to provide a referral system for exercise prescription

As of Spring 2023, MTSU has been recognized as one of 55 silver-level colleges and universities worldwide, and one of 149 college and universities worldwide honored by Exercise is Medicine® for our efforts in creating a culture of wellness on campus.
