We offer educational programs to prepare you to become a certified Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Instructor. Check out the programs below. If you need further guidance or have additional questions, email fitness@mtsu.edu<\/a><\/span> to get in touch with our Fitness Staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Group Fitness Education Program<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Personal Training Education Program (PTEP)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This program will prepare you to work with fitness clients, whether you hope to gain knowledge and skills to use later in your career, are looking for a way to gain experience with clients in a real-world setting without the requirement of a certification, or are planning to go for your Personal Training Certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an official ACE Education Institution<\/span><\/a>, we provide the ACE-CPT study curriculum as an in-person class for free<\/strong>. Optional course materials and the certification exam are offered at a discounted rate through ACE. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We welcome any experience level and no background knowledge is needed. There is no requirement for you to take the certification exam at the end of the program. <\/strong>See the Post-Program Job Opportunities<\/span><\/a> section below to see options for those who obtain their certification at the end, along with options for those who are not planning to take the certification exam. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The registration link will be added once the day and time are set. Those who complete the Scheduling Form above will also receive the link via email. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
