Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Degree Program

Goal 1: Students will think creatively, critically, ethically, and logically to solve problems and make decisions.

  • Objective 1.1: Students will define a situation.
  • Objective 1.2: Students will analyze a situation.
  • Objective 1.3: Students will improve a situation.

Goal 2: Students will demonstrate knowledge of the major business disciplines and the relationships among the disciplines.

  • Objective 2.1:  Students will identify and apply principles and roles of each business discipline.
  • Objective 2.2:  Students will solve business issues by integrating principles and roles of the business disciplines. 

Goal 3: Students will demonstrate knowledge of the major external factors and how those factors relate to business and business decision making.

  • Objective 3.1:  Students will identify major external factors affecting business and how business impacts external factors.
  • Objective 3.2:  Students will assess impacts of external factors on business decision making.

Goal 4: Students will communicate effectively.

  • Objective 4.1: Students will present effectively.

Goal 5: Students will demonstrate knowledge of professionalism and will act accordingly.

  • Students test Economic theory using Econometric tools and data.

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Commerce Degree Program

  • Students will demonstrate thinking skills necessary for career success.
  • Students will exhibit knowledge of major business disciplines and relationships among those disciplines.
  • Students will exhibit knowledge of major external factors that affect business decision making.
  • Students will communicate effectively.

Master of Business Administration (Flex MBA)

Master of Accountancy (MAcc)

Goal:  Students will obtain an advanced understanding of the body of knowledge in accounting.

  • Graduates desiring to obtain professional certifications will be successful.

Goal:  Students will develop communication skills necessary for success in the accounting profession.

  • Students will effectively formulate and transmit ideas orally on a current topic or a problem solution in accounting.
  • Students will write clear and concise reports on a current topic or problem solution in accounting.

Goal:  Students will develop decision making skills necessary for success in accounting.

  • Students will gather and analyze relevant information to solve problems encountered in the accounting profession. Students will be able to adequately substantiate their decisions.
  • Students will recognize ethical issues and appropriately apply ethical principles when making accounting decisions.

Master of Arts (MA) in Economics 

  • Students understand the theoretical foundations of Economics.
  • Students test Economic theory using Econometric tools and data.

Master of Science (MS) in Finance

  • Students understand the foundations of the field of Finance.
  • Students demonstrate financial analysis.

Master of Science (MS) in Information Systems

Goal:  Students will develop the skills necessary to independently research, analyze, and evaluate information systems (IS) alternatives to support business activities.

  • Students will be able to research and report on a current information systems project management topic.
  • Students will be able to evaluate data resource technologies from a managerial perspective.
  • Students will demonstrate a working knowledge of information systems research publications, including the ability to distinguish between scientific and trade resources.

Goal: Our students will be able to use information systems to assist in the analysis and support of business decisions.

  • Students will be able to model a business situation using a spreadsheet and use the model to analyze and suggest appropriate managerial action.

Master of Science (MS) in Management

  • Students will demonstrate the ability to analyze data and generate potential alternatives to organizational problems.
  • Students will demonstrate expertise in developing and using project management tools for planning and implementing and assessing projects related to their discipline of study.
  • Students will demonstrate knowledge of core competencies in human resources management.
  • Students will demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills for their managerial work.

  • Students will demonstrate that they can apply relevant ethical concepts to making organizational decisions.
  • Students will demonstrate knowledge and apply management skills required for the discipline.

 Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics

  • Students instruct an Economics course.
  • Students write an Economics paper.
