Recruiting MTSU CCM Students
The School of Concrete and Construction Management has many opportunities to connect students and employers for part-time work, internship opportunities, and full-time career positions upon graduation. Below are several ways to connect with candidates.
View our Events Calendar to see a current list of events. To learn more about any of these or to get on the school’s Recruiting Newsletter email list, contact Nicole Green at email@example.com or call 615-904-8599.
Send your openings, whether they are part-time, local, internships, entry-level, or more experienced positions to us to advertise to current students, upcoming grads, and alumni. Email your descriptions to firstname.lastname@example.org or post job at MTSU Career Development Center’s online Handshake system for advertisement to CCM students.
The school is glad to help your company host a social during the academic year. Socials are company-sponsored meals at which representatives present information about their company, their area of the industry, and opportunities available to students. These are great learning tools, giving students a snapshot of different areas of the industry and different positions available, as well as companies that support our programs. Typically, employers that host a social will conduct interviews for internships or full-time opportunities later in the day or the following day. If your company is interested in hosting a social, contact Nicole Green at email@example.com or call 615-904-8599.
Fall Networking Event
- Wednesday, October 19, 2022
- MTSU Student Union Ballroom
- Cost for employers: $300/table
- Attendees in 2022
Each fall semester, the school hosts a networking event. This biggest annual event is our career fair, and we encourage all employers, even if not actively hiring for openings, and all students, even if not currently seeking an internship or full-time job, to attend. It allows recruiters to quickly learn more about our programs and student population. This event is designed to introduce students to the wide variety of employers they may find employment with upon graduation. It is as much about gathering information and contacts as it is finding an opportunity that semester. Nearly 200 students attend each year.
Spring Interviewing Day
Each spring, in late February or early March, the School hosts the Interview Day to connect students with internships for the upcoming summer and to start discussions with seniors for upcoming career positions. In the morning, companies reserve a table and will spend several hours in rapid-fire interviews with students seeking summer learning opportunities. This is a quick and easy way to meet with candidates for summer internships. Interviews are all morning with a lunch for all students and employers to allow for further conversation or arrange interviews later in the day. The afternoon is set up similarly but with slower, scheduled interviews with seniors of all majors.
