Areas of Interest: Organizational Development, Training, and Team Effectiveness
Courtney is currently a Senior Project Associate for COHRE where she supports consulting projects and assists with administrative tasks. She has worked on a variety of projects at COHRE, but her most extensive involvement has been leading the promotional process for the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) in 2018. This required updating the promotional assessments, helping to administer the tests, training a scoring team, and overseeing assessment scoring. In addition to the promotional process, Courtney has been involved with the selection process for THP and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI). Her role consisted of delivering interview training and trouble-shooting issues during the interview process.
Other projects that Courtney has been involved with include participating in developing a situational judgement test for TBI by interviewing job incumbents whose responses were used to create the test. She supported the facilitation of a five-session leadership development academy for the Smyrna town government in Smyrna, Tennessee.
In addition, Courtney interned for Blankenship and Seay Consulting Group, an industrial/organizational consulting firm in Birmingham, Alabama, for one semester before being promoted to administrative assistant. She administered and scored psychological tests, proofread reports, and contributed to special projects such as validation studies and conference preparations. Her work supported the consultants and contributed to their success. Courtney has brought her research background, administrative skills, and consulting firm experience to COHRE.
Courtney is pursuing a Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and is planning to graduate in 2019. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology from Samford University in 2017.
