Structured Literacy Instruction
The Center provides structured literacy instruction to K-12 students with characteristics of dyslexia. This instruction is delivered in a small group setting with sustained intensity at the Center.
Delivering empirically validated intensive structured literacy instruction to students with characteristics of dyslexia provides:
- Center staff with the opportunity to expand and refine their instructional skills
- MTSU students with the opportunity to gain valuable practicum experiences working with students with characteristics of dyslexia
- Educators from across the state with the opportunity to visit the Center to observe structured literacy instruction delivered with fidelity

A few national organizations maintain public lists of professionals trained to provide Structured Literacy intervention, which is necessary for students with characteristics of dyslexia.
